I've managed to throw together my English symposium in 2 hours. Yay for my ability to bullshit stuff, and thank god I ended up with a religious topic (Buddhism) as I can bullshit my way through it with my knowledge of religion.

I am finally the absolute best yugioh player in my tiny ass town. I have the most expensive binder getting more and more pricey by the week. I make at least $20 in terms of card worth every weekend in trading at my local tournaments and just the other day i bought $75 worth of cards for $30 because a guy is quitting. He gave me 2 cards that are so hard to come by in my town that you can't get one unless you order it from the internet and are so stinkin' good it's not even funny. They're 2 cards that are necessary to be semi-worth a shit in bigger tournaments and i'm moving in about a month to a way bigger town with about 10 times the turnout that our little tournament gets. At this place, i will not be able to make that much profit so easily, i might even lose "money" some weeks, but there are so many cards available, so much more than this little shithole i go to now, so i'll be able to make better decks, and better my skills and maybe actually win something more impressive.

The tournament i go to is not an official tournament or anything. It's 5-10 guys that go to a fast food restaurant with their cards to trade, play, and sometimes have something a little organized, but the guy that runs it might literally be retarded, and everyone there is still under the impression that they can win, so they're trying to start tournaments with prizes. A couple weeks ago i would've been afraid of one other guy, but that's the guy that's quitting, so he pretty much gave away a lot of his cards except for his main deck, but that main deck for some reason doesn't stand a chance against me now, so even if he stays i have zero competition here. Tournaments with prizes = give gote free cards.

And on top of all of that, a really expensive card that nobody has here that i need for one of my decks is getting reprinted as a promo in a special edition package in a couple months. Nobody else will want those so i will be able to get my hands on those ridiculously easy and finish this deck of mine. another month after that, 2 of the main people will be leaving, so the get-togethers here will pretty much stop i'm guessing, just in time for me to move for college.

Things in my yugioh life are happening so perfectly that i can barely stand it. And that's just my yugioh life. I have a girlfriend now, who i like and likes me so much, i have a job (that i never get any hours at but still, a job) i have a car again, i have a life in general, i'm graduating, i'm going to a great(ish) college (good enough for me), summer is almost here, i feel like i'm on top of the mother fucking world.

I feel less like a roxas, and more like a sora.

Congrats x2, Jen.

It's an awesome feeling to graduate. Hopefully it'll be more awesome to find work quickly afterwards.

Took me 5 months to get anything after graduating...

I left shortly before that. I dropped TCGs once I got into AMVs. :ying:

So I got a phone call for a job interview yesterday from a recommendation I had no clue of but I was curious. The interview was today and it was some knife selling company, Cutco who are reaching out to teens who are looking for job experience...but its obviously comes down to a scam when they want you to test it out by selling to relatives and references.

I tore the interviewer apart. I called him out on the references thing and said its better selling to random people because even though its awkward, it is way better on the spot and related it to a theology project I had where I had to go out and interview people (on film) and ask them personal religious questions. Yes it was awkward but it was a great way of socializing with random people. And kept unfolding his little scam. (obviously selling knives if incredibly more difficult, I was just fucking with him.) Cause how many people are looking to buy knives any way? The dude was pretty pissed and tried to convince me but in the end it just comes down to them wanting to make a sale off needy teenagers. The annoying part is that the guy seemed to like me at first, and in a way resembled me ...I could tell he has dealt with anxiety problems in his life. In a way I did feel like he wanted to help others like himself but he still was trying to sell a load of bullshit.

Funniest part was when he claimed it will look good on your resume. Like what are you suppose to say? "I sold knives in the summer!"

When I first skimmed your post, I saw this line and thought you were talking about a suicide support hotline.

Wish I thought of that one when talking to the guy.

Anyway I finished high school! We had a huge water fight in the parking lot during a rain storm.

I'm feeling the sickness coming on and I was damn well asking for it!
