Gonna be at Geek Kon tomorrow. It's not big enough to warrant a weekend (and it's spur of the moment, so my work schedule wouldn't have allowed for it anyhow), but I could use a day of diversion after the roughness that has pervaded the last few days.

As per usual, I'm going to be the fat girl awkwardly wandering around with a group of people who are all cosplaying, except for me. Ah, such is my life.

Wearing a T-shirt in 9 degree temperatures at near 2am in the morning, and listening to dance/club music on Channel [V], and feeling very happy about it.

Sometimes, this is how I like to spend my Saturday nights when I am not going out.

Last week I started my student job at my community college, and I'm working at the athletics department. I sit there, clean and put away equipment, check IDs, and play music. My boss is fucking awesome too, not even to mention that by working out at the fitness center there I've lost 2 lbs this week. I also got my Canon T3i body w/ my 50mm f/1.8 lens on Thursday and I got my Batman Batarang Knife last night. Not even to mention that I may be moving into an apartment soon, for $900 a month. Now I'm in Maine visiting family and taking a shitton of pictures.
I had an AMAZING week.

Today I hung out with a black rhinoceros, a couple of clouded leopards, and a pair of very inquisitive otters who I enjoyed shaking hands with and feeding fish and clams. I'm not even kidding.
