I have the fondest memories of this campfire site.
We, the islander kids, would come here and have our campfire time, burning bread. That’s right, not toasting, burning. We called bread burned to perfect blackness “galoshes” and ate it with particular satisfaction :P

Not our island, but clearly the most cramped island I have yet seen

Also terribly intelligent. It took her a while to acknowledge me as “one of her own” – but not too long. I’ve never met her before, but I soon had conversations with this cat. I swear, she knows exactly what you say to her.
