Story of My Life
My Name is Jonas
Even Flow
Cherub Rock
3's & 7's
Knights of Cydonia
Cliffs of Dover

The rest suck, with a few exceptions.
I'm sure Flint will castrate me, but that's a very similar 'set list' I play for fun minus Even Flow (got sick of this song in HS), Story of my Life and 3's & 7's (I HATE THAT BAND SO MUCH! WANT TO RIP MY EARS OFF).

But yeah I usually do something like...
Cliffs of Dover
My Name is Jonas
Cherub Rock
Welcome to the Jungle (too easy imo)
La Grange
Knights of Cydonia
Cliffs of Dover

At the same time I think some of the songs I don't play are good songs, but not as fun as these.

Dang I haven't played GHII in forever. I should remedy that tonight and try to remember my set list for that. I know it had Sweet Child of Mine, Carry on Wayward Son and Message in a Bottle (can you tell I love the 80's?), but beyond that, I forget.

I have a real heavy distaste for most classic rock excluding some Stones, some Guns N' Roses, and some Floyd. Queen is fine too but that's kind of a given.

On the other hand, I fucking love Nineties Alt/Rock. I shat bricks when Even Flow was on the tracklist, and I'd shit a house if Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Live, Beck, Collective Soul etc ever make their way onto the downloadables (there's already some Foo Fighters )

I'm not flint, I'm just using his avatar in memory of him (he's trying to go away from the org or whatever :P).

As far as having a dislike for classic rock, I don't think I can understand that. A large chunk of my favorite music is very classic rock inspired (most progressive rock and metal), or actually classic rock (Rush, Queen, Floyd). Granted, it's your opinion, and you're allowed to that... but it doesn't mean you have good taste in music. And GnR aren't classic rock, not by a long shot... They're that weird 80s amalgamation that was Pop Metal. Some people call it hair metal, and while they did have that going on some, it wasn't as bad as quite a few others.

Inversely, I have a real heavy distaste for most 90s "alternative". Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Live, Collective Soul, Beck, Stone Temple Pilots, I can't enjoy it in general. Like I said before, it bores me to tears. When it's slow, it's three chords over and over again, therefore not interesting. And when it's fast, its the same three or four power chords over and over again. Still not interesting.

Why don't you just get your nick changed while you're at it? :x

I don't read into music that much, man. They're the beats I grew up on and I love them for that. The aural theory behind it makes no difference to me. I like the sound of Nineties Rock, I dislike the sound of Seventies/Eighties Rock. Not that much to it. As for "taste", surely you realize that it's all relative.

I don't see how anyone could not like Live or Collective Soul, though :|

GAH! Yeah the icon is really screwing with me. Also the fact Flint and I have talked about GH before.

And yeah I agree with your conclusions regarding Classic Rock, but then again I'm old and grew up with that stuff. At the same time, I can enjoy contemporary rock just fine and even some alternative (after all, I was in MS/HS then)...actually looking at the list, I only enjoyed Nirvana. I HATED Collective Soul and Live with a passion just like I had Queens of the Stone Age and the Hives with a passion currently.

Hehe... I can do it on easy, and about a third of the way to medium, but that's about it. Guitar Hero isn't really that addicting to me. X_X
