Oh yes, this is also where no one can figure out how to use a voting ballot. See Gore-Bush Election and the Butterfly Ballot.Shazzy wrote:Grew up in Boca Raton, Florida.

Srsly, just some semi-suburb to the... Southwest of Philadelphia. 15 min drive on I95 to Center City.
Orangevale is so small, many people, even just a town over, don't know it. It does have a sign off of 50, but other than that, it's just a tiny collection of houses and a couple shopping centers (maybe), wedged between Fair Oaks, Folsom, and Roseville. I think they might be putting in a Wal-Mart though.

Woodbury, NJ, about 9 miles south of Camden, NJ, the most dangerous city in the US for the past several years, though I think this past year, it went down to 2nd.

I live in a tiny little canadian town called Nakusp, that of course is famous for nothing (we have lots of hot springs around, does that count? ;_;)
Seriously 1500 people (that's including the surrounding areas), fast food is unknown to us (and the closest is a two hour drive away), we have a single screen theater that plays one movie at a time, months after it's original release (and again, anything better is three hours away)...we have nothing but rocks, trees and, well, water.

It was the site of what used to be the single most deaths from a single shooter in the United States (the Luby's on 190 which is now that Yang-whatever Garden or whatever Chinese place). Until the Virginia Tech dude stole the title.JaddziaDax wrote:and this pos city doesnt deserve to be named O.o theres nothing famous about it...
And it's the home of the largest U.S. Army base in the United States.
But if you don't wanna tell people the name, I won't say. (I lived there for 2 years.)
And why not drive down to Round Rock or Austin to go to a movie? I hate Waco.
As for me, I'm from a tiny town called Yorktown. Not the famous Yorktown in Virginia, the tiny Yorktown in Texas. Only famous event that ever happened in Yorktown is when the Comanches raided through to Victoria. Yorktown acted as a speed-bump for them, which gave the defenders in Victoria time to organize their defense and defeat them. This is how the town got named Yorktown, it was (tentatively) named Eckhardt before but Mr. Eckhardt chilled out in his store while Captain York of the Texas Rangers went and held the Comanches back. Yeah, I'm a bit of a history buff...
Life's short.
