The prize was a bag of stuff and $25 in cash. I don't know if they are all the same, but the bag had 3 posters from the Japan Foundation, golf tees, 2 tickets to Adventure Landing in Raleigh, some kind of folder thing that on it is an advertisement for the new Puffy AmiYumi movie or something, and two actual advertisement flyers (lol).

One of the people on the stage knew the guy and they called him and put him on speaker to speak to the crowd, it was epic!

It was epic on my end, too. It's strange enough to get a call from Toshi out of the blue like that, and even more so when he says it's because my AMV won an award at a contest. Winning something is surprising enough, but I practically scratched the remaining hairs off my head in bewilderment when he told me I won for Unique, since I know I had entered it in Parody (thanks so much for explaining the reason why). Then, as if to lay down the last stairstep on my descent into madness, he tells me I'm on speakerphone with the entire con, and to say something. I nearly fainted from the sheer absurdity of it, but the cheering audience on the other end of the line kept me from swooning.
Did they really like the video that much, or was I being punked?
