BRB breathing huge sigh of relief. I was a tad worried about mine as there's some blood in it, but then again I'm sort of a total newbie to entering amv contests...the only one I entered before was a goofy comedy...so perhaps there's way bloodier ones or the one I had was considered tame? Anywho does that mean as it wasn't DQ'd I get the three l33t tickets for the AMV showing? Or does it have to get into the final contest to get the three l33t tickets?

Regardless even if it doesn't make the final cut everyone I've showed it to loved it. ^_^ I am curious though...if you win, do you get a prize?

I'm pretty sure this is just the list of ones who got cut for breaking some sort of rule. We should not take this to mean that it's in the contest because it's not in that list. I think list of finalists will be coming in a week or two.

Never mind I am a retard.

I submitted to Otakon and if that one made it in then I'm sure those that were disqualified really pushed it beyond that.

I got a diy Gundam for runner-up best comedy last year. XD Totally was not expecting it; dunno if it's a regular thing or what. It was my first time as a finalist.

I have to remember I have that thing, next rainy day. It's still not put together! :o

Ah DIY model kits, almost have gone the way of the dodo thanks to the miracle breakthroughs in the PVC Figures market. I used to pride myself on having really nice painted resin models, back when those pvc figures looked horrible. Now I can't help but be impressed by em. I especially like my MOBIP model of Yui from K-On gonna be ordering the other 3 figures when I gets paid. ¬_¬

I requested only DVDs and plushies for the prizes this year. The Gundam models were different, but also take a certain degree of skill to appreciate. At least with these prizes, I can safely assume that anybody in the contest is totally capable of watching TV, or giving something a hug, and they won't go unused.

Oh, and to answer the watermark question, I'm talking about logos like "DivX", "TV TOKYO" or "CRUNCHROLL.COM" standing out in the corners like sore thumbs. I'm not aware of any hidden watermarks that youtube uses to find copyrighted content. I think they just have recognition software that looks for Steven Colbert or Hitler's face, and that's about it. The only "hidden" watermarks that I'm aware of are the red dots that are put on film prints so that bootleg dumps on the internet can be traced back to a specific theater. Of course now the cammers just take 2 minutes and photoshop them out >.>
