Bakadeshi are you going to post yours?

It's the only one I'm still waiting to get :(

Also: it seems my favorites never win. I really liked Circles and Tasukete. Very good job to to both of you that did those :)

No, thank you! :D
It was a pleasure sitting through nine hours of AMVs, re-editing the AMV Contest Intro, dealing with seating 2000+ people, counting ballots (which really isn't that hard if you do it long enough) and best of all, following Vic's vision of providing a great experience for the audience. Honestly, I am in awe of how dedicated he is to making sure that everyone has something resembling a good time for two hours. Looking forward to 2010! Get editing!

Yep, I updated the intro to contain this year's finalists, fix some holes and goofs, and provide new graphics. It's apparent to the AMV Staff, by comments that we've received and have seen posted here, that the intro is encouraging people to enter the contest. It's been able to breathe new life into the competition and has become an additional bonus for making the finals. The last thing we want to do is to take that special something away by making it easily obtainable, regardless of when it premieres or what AMVs it features. It may change every year in some way, but the core of the video is the same. I'm so incredibly humbled by how passionate people are about it, and I will not hesitate to whip out my iPhone and show it to anyone that wants to see it wherever I am, but it was made for Otakon and because of how important the contest is to me and the Otakon AMV Staff it will remain a symbol of "making it" until its eventual retiring.

I don't want to drag this topic out any further but I just wanted to clarify on this point because I've gotten so many questions about this; I figure this is the best place to state the reasoning behind my answer.

I damn well hope I get this much attention when I put out my own AMVs again!

I can definitely appreciate that, but those of us who are not at the con have virtually no way of seeing it apart from a crappy camera capture. All we can do it hear about this this amazing video that has to power to turn water into wine and fix the economy. I understand wanting to keep it underground but it would make Otakon even better for the rest of us if you were to treat us to the previous year's intro. Either way, congrats on making something TOO AMAZING for the internet :D.

Or instead, it would add to its appeal so that more people are willing to make the trek, getting something that you can only get by being there in person shelling out $55-$65 bones to do and waiting in the hot B-more summer for hourse to get your badge!! Besides, it's always awesomer to see it on the big screen 8-).

Has anyone been able to find if Moonlight Soldier has posted his winning Opposites Attract video anywhere? Saw it at the con and loved it and just wanted to see it again.

I wish your video was in the contest. I loved it!!!!!!! You got the overflow award because your video was the only one that got perfect 5's and the lowest 1's on the score sheets at the judging preview.
