Rules :
Each participant may submit up to 3 videos, 1 per category.
Remastered versions of older Videos, or videos already won awards on other contest are prohibited.
The contest is not annonymous, each video may contain information about the creator (or credits, not exceeding 30 seconds).
It is reccomended that each AMV has a name.
Use of other creators' AMVs is prohibited.
MEPs, or multi-editor projects, are allowed.
AMVs should be no older than 1. January 2008.
Video specifications :
The minimal length of AMVs is 1:30 minutes, the maximal length is 5 minutes. (minimal length for trailers 30 seconds)
AMVs must contain at least 75% anime(or anime-like CGI, or anime-like game footage) and at least 75% music. (the Trailer category does not count to the 75% music rule)
The AMVs must not contain subtitles, unless specifically placed by the author.
Use of scenes with excessive gore or pornographic content is prohibited. Erotic content is allowed in limited extent.
Technical Specifications :
Allowed containers - .mp4 ; .avi ; .mkv
Allowed video codecs - DivX/XviD/h264.
Allowed audio codecs - MPEG Layer-3 (mp3)/IMA ADPCM/AAC (note – Uncompressed Audio = disqualification)
Minimal resolution - 640x360
Minimal framerate - 23.98 fps
Maximal size of the video file - 100 mb, the video may exceed 100 mb, but be no more than 160 mb if the resolution is equal to or bigger than 848x480.
Each participant should send a text file with the following information:

Animes Used: (if more than 3 enter "various")
Audio Source Used: (if more than 2 enter "various")
e-mail: (for contact/confirmation)
Categories: (if none are entered the video(s) will be put in the according one(s) by the pre-judging panel)
Link to the AMV: (preferably to animemusicvideos.org, absolutely no torrents or such)
The text file should be mailed to aniventure2008@yahoo.com or PM'd to me.
Deadline: 15. August
The coordinators keep the right to change the rules at any time, changes will be listed in this thread.
