I'm shooting for Pro and thus will shoot for attending as well. Guess I'm pretty much obligated to show up since I had to skip out on 07. Also good to still have you with us MCWagner.

Replied by email since it's more appropriate.

To anyone else who's curious, the two days is pretty much the minimum. It's done by hand (two years ago it was a VERY hard 48 hours that actually caused more trouble than it was worth) so I'll sometimes leave it open a little longer. The earlier you submit the more leeway we have. When we start hitting deadlines we'll have to be more draconian to keep the process moving.

You can see if an ftp account still active by looking at your video's entry page. The button at the bottom will either be "Okay, I'm done so you can close it out" which means your account is still active or "Renew the account" which is pretty obvious.

I just got my FTP account e-mails, and this was part of what they said:

If this is a Pro or SAST contest video, please also include a representative thubmnail for inclusion on the judging disc as indicated in the detailed rules.

But <a href="http://www.awa-con.com/index.php?page=86">the rules</a> don't say anything about a thumbnail for SAST, just Professional.

So, assuming SAST does in fact require them, what restrictions (resolution, format) are there on the thumbnails?

<b>Edit:</b> Also, the lack of SFTP support is a tad disappointing.

Not required per se, but we'll pick one for the end of video review if one's not provided. Same resolution as the source vid with no cropping or resizing will give us the most flexibility.

As for SFTP, not all hosting plans come with the same bells and whistles. Our priority was making sure we had sufficient storage and bandwidth to be able to support Pro iso downloads which forced concessions in other areas.

Hey MCWagner or Kholaras,

<s>Could somebody enter the AWA 14 contests into the contest list here, so we can add them to our videos' participation lists?</s>

<b>Edit:</b> Thanks for the prompt addition! Just updated mine. ^_^

Scintilla.

Here you go. This is the complete video listing for Expo 2008. You can also view the Pro videos list by clicking on 'Pro 2008' on the left navigation bar.

AWA is judge voted before the con, so the audience doesn't have to do anything.
