There's only one entry so far and it's not artificial intelligence related, so it's all very open at the moment. Also if you're worried someone's AI entry might win, out do them with a non theme based AMV and take the overall prize. :)

Great news from our sponsors, there will be $1000 of prizes for the convention, so anyone coming to the con or paying the fee to be in the running for a prize to be sent stand to win something quite substantial.

Note: you can still enter without paying, and you can still win, but prizes will only be given out to those in attendance or that paid the entry fee (it's more or less postage price for your prize if you win)

Hey Ben, what if we win but haven't attended or paid an entry fee, but were willing to pay instead for the postage anyway... will that be all right? I'm not sure how likely I'll be attending AI Con this year, even though I've said it for the past 2 years that I'll go.

Yes, but it'll cost slightly more then the price of postage, otherwise the con gets nothing from you. If you were here we'd get your registration fee, if you entered we'd get an entry fee, but just paying postage wouldn't help us pay the massive venue hire costs ;) Although then again, if we only charge $5-$10 on top of the postage you could end up with an extremely cheap boxset or whatever the prize is.
