Unfortunately I missed them this year. Saturdays are too hectic preparing for the Cosplay. I was wondering if there might be any chance that the Friday showing could be done later in the day? My boyfriend and I are coming from work. By the time we get off work and get into our costumes it closer to 6 when we get to the convention. Why not have it at 7 or later for people that want to see if Friday.

Congrats to all of the winners.

Probably has something to do with that youth curfew thing.

Friday from 4:00-6:00pm was the best time slot I could get for this years contest on Friday. As for the Saturday screening we had the prime time slot for when most people were at the conventions and not interfering with the masqurades and concerts at 2:30-4:30pm. I am going to work with staff and see if we can have it at 7:00-9:30pm next year and Saturday being held in Main Events.
No matter what, stay calm, stay cool and live life to the fullest.

That would help greatly. We didn't make it Saturday because we had to eat lunch after rehearsal and then we spent a little time going over our skit to make certain that everything would go well and by the time we were finished the contest was about halfway over. I definitely want to see a longer timeslot since there were so many entries this year. I will get my in on time for sure. I finally found a good way to get a smaller file size without losing quality so that will help quite a bit.

I guess I remember when the convention was in Midlothian and the contest was really late on Friday night and that was kind of cool. Usually after opening ceremonies there isn't much we absolutely HAVE to go to on Friday so that would be a good time for it.

UPDATE: I have the prizes now and will be going to the post office to get an estimated cost on the shipping of the prizes. Once I know I'll contact the winners via email so we can make shipping arrangments.

Next year to avoid this we'll still have the trophies but instead of DVD's of series you possibly will not like. We'll be giving out BestBuy gift certificates next year.

I appologize for this. I had another obligation, which I can't go into detail about, that took up the whole month of August and couldn't really do anything until now.
