AnimeNext AMV Contest: ~2 week reminder

Postby VegettoEX » Mon May 09, 2005 5:51 pm

I hate to keep bumping an old thread and taking it off-topic, so here's the official new reminder :). Hopefully this shan't be a problem with the moderators.

The AnimeNext 2005 AMV contest's "in-our-hands" deadline is May 20th, which is slightly under two weeks from the time of this posting. Especially if you're from the New Jersey / New York area, we'd love to get your entries!

CALLING ALL TRAILER/COMMERCIAL/PARODY EDITORS:

For the first year, our "Trailer/Parody" category is open for public submission! We're out to recognize the fantastic work that editors are doing with these types of videos, and we want your work! For the purpose of our first-year with general submission to this category, we are considering trailers/commercials/parodies to be works edited to anime using pre-existing audio (such as movie theatrical trailers, television commercials, alternate anime openings, etc.). Entirely new ("fan-created," if you will) audio is not going to be accepted (it may in the future, though!). If you've got any trailers or commercials you've worked on, please consider sending them to us! We're looking forward to them.

If you have any questions, feel free to browse the official rules & entry form, or reply to me in any way you see fit. Thank you!

I might submit my recent trailer...
Gotta export a Convention version soon.
Can't submit any of the ones from last year because they were used as filler at AnimeNext 2004.

Crap-ola, I forgot I only have one week left (effectively) to finish! Gotta get working... but like I said before, it's beginning to look like my Otakon(/ANEXT) video is soon to become my Anime Expo video... :(

At the moment, we don't have the capacity to facilitate online submissions (maybe in future years, this can be a possibility), but we're more than ready and willing to accept your parody! There's still plenty of time to mail it to us ('bout 2 weeks), so if you mail it soon, you should be fine. We look forward to receiving your parody!

I just noticed that the mailing address is slightly different between the rules sheet and the entry form. Is it "APT 52" or street number "52"? Or maybe it doesn't matter since the entries are arriving regardless.

It's the same thing, so no worries. Just "52" (without the Apt.) is sufficient.
