depends on your entry count.

AWA's used to be about that. ..

Not to complain again, but it seems the AMV contest has been moved on the schedule from the main room to a anime viewing room... if this is true, how do you plan on handling the audience? Does the AMV contest not rate the main room?

it does. but I want to make sure there is nothing wrong with this ceremony even if it is small. the room it is being held in can handle close to 200 attendees. If we are to fix something we tried to make huge in the first place and did not succeed. We then start small and build up.

Besides I recognize Atlanta to be the Mecca of AMV contests, AWA. So my goal is not to make it huge. We will place this contest in the Main events area when it is large enough for us to do so. by next year the contest should be large enough and entries will be coming in regularly. For now I want to keep it small, simple and intimate.

cool... when I saw that it was in a viewing room, I imagined the typical small room... not dogging you... I'm looking forward to the convention and the contest

oh no...input is always good. your question was one I was not sure of attendees response. Since we are making up for the past AMV contests. I wanted to keep it small. I was not sure the initial reaction to placing it in a small room. but the Video Rooms I choose from the hotel layout are nicely sized. not to small, not to big.

Update on this contest:

The Judging went well. overall there were 34 videos to judge for Atlanta. We had a hard time near the end as the last 13 videos were all very well done. We almost couldnt decide best Technical from Best of Show and Best Action. There were some very clever and funny parodies as well, since we dont have a Best Parody Category - We will come up with something for it.

I wanted to personally thank the AMV creators that gave us a chance to improve our AMV contest. I will see you all in the next few days. Good luck to all of you.
