doesn't usendit reserve the right to just not deal with gray area stuff like mpegs, avis, mp3s etc? I'm sure it's like Ebay, you can easily fool big brother (sell bootlegs etc.) but I wouldn't call that reliable... may be an option, but why not just get the file from the org or your own ftp if you can directly link it?

Some people don't know how to setup FTPs and some others want to wait til AFTER the video is shown to get it from the Org. And besides, 1 gb is more than enough for a good MPEG-2 encode. I've talked to Anamorphic about yousendit and she says it's pretty good.

Status Update (A Must Read!)

Postby outlawed » Wed Apr 13, 2005 1:59 pm

Entries are due this Friday.

Due to scandisk's deallocation of "orphaned" NTFS nodes......I no longer have the e-mail info those of you sent me (and several other nice items as well *sniff*). So...

I need everyone to e-mail me with your contact e-mail again unless you specified it on on the submission sheet (which was missing that field). Please make sure to specify your name and the entry you submitted so I can match them up.

Once I have finished the QC stage of processing submissions I will send an e-mail notifcation update concerning your entry.

Those of you who want to send something for the "too hot" segment: It is not restricted by the due date; you can mail it to me (as long as I get it 1 week before con); for other info questions regarding that e-mail me directly (outlawed@pobox.com).

Quick question.

As this is the first time I have entered the AMV contest at Anime Central, I was wondering if you let people know if they make it to the finals. IE do you e-mail the finalists saying they are in the finals (I know you won't say if they won or not). Just curious.

Thanks for any help anyone provides.

I have sent receipt confirmation to all entrants who supplied me an e-mail address. If you did not receive one by today then e-mail me (outlawed@pobox.com).

As for whether you are in the contest....
Original due date was 4/01/05 with plans for me to have the contest completely assembled by 4/30/05. Due date was moved to 4/15 and I am still in the process of assembling the contest. Time permitting I will notify entrants if they made it into the contest.

Sounds fair enough.

Interested to see who wins and download their vids (if they are on a-m-v.org) since I can't attend this year.

I'll have my lappy with me, so I can do live, up to the minute reports on IRC, lol

This is gonna be a fun con, too bad it's only 3 days and I can only stay for all 3 days, I'd like to hang out more with people!

See everyone who's going on Friday in the AMV room ! Atleast, that's where me and Kalium will be...
