Sweet! Congrats to you and the others.

BTW - Thats >Streamliner< Studios!

Not wanting to begrudge another winner, but I was a little put off by Red Apple's 'Times running out'. It was my understanding that personal logos were not allowed and we got several seconds of 'Red Apple Productions' at the end. Still, the video kicked booty.

Yeah, I was of the understanding that no bumpers were allowed, or credits. Those things were integrated into the video, and still part of the video. The text at the end wasn't extra extra extra material after the video ended; it was a part of the video.

However, Lynn had an issue with time. Too many videos were entered that were too short, making the contest less time then initially expected. From what I understand, Lynn let a number of things slide, related to video entries that would of normally kept those entries out of the contest.

Regardless, I think everyone did a good job. I'm sorry if this has made you upset. Regardless, congrats on your win.

Upset? Nah. 8-) Still riding a high at winning my first contest of any significance. Just surprised is all. Drama's not my normal bag, but that was one of 2 or 3 non-comedy videos I really liked.

Something else surprising is the number of AMVs in the 'super search' that listed they were participating in this contest that were not shown. :?:

Yeah I have a reason for not entering into the .org catalog just yet. I'll release it soon, I promise.

Yeah I had a grand total of 84 minute contest thanks to having 7 vids running under 2 minuites and many others running below or just around 3 min. That was the reason for the staff category. I also tried to deal with as many windows media files I could find despite I specifically said NOT to send those.

And yes the Rahxephon video I had to let slide for that reason. Next time don't add those into your video though! It is distracting.

If people listed the vids they may have been one of the problematic files I received. I had one which should have played at a later time out of contest due to content. Many others the vid quality was so terrible that I could not do much to remedy its appearance or the files did not play correctly. I had a vhs submission that had gone through a magnetic field in shipping and couldn't make it in. I had a couple vids that never had any accompanying information.

So basically I do ask that people start reading the rules for the contests. That was one really major problem.

That should not be surprising at all. You're allowed to say your video was in the contest if it was entered - even if it was not a finalist. Not to mention the creators who claim to enter every contest in the list.

From what I hear it is a chronic problem with contests in general.

BTW, was "Why...? Can't...? I....?" actually in the contest, or was it just an exhibition video? Or maybe "Staff Favorite" ?

Off-topic but still somewhat relevant reply:

"STARS" is credited to TËЯRA -- not TËRRA -- in the song banner in DDR Party Collection, as well as in Pop N' Music 8.

I know this is a really pedantic change, but...well, you know, accuracy in data is always a good thing :)

...on that note, the title is actually "STARS☆☆☆ (2nd NAOKI's style)"...but...eh. Whatever.
This is a block of text that can be added to posts you make. There is a 512 character limit.

I saw that on the info page, but I didn't know what the code for the flipped 'R' was. Now that you've given it to me, and the code for the stars, I've updated the page.

Illia Sadri: if you don't know about them, trythil is referring to the contest pages that I host (use the link in my sig).

It was in the special Staff Category, which did get voted on by the audience, but there wasn't any actual award.

Yeah it was basically bragging rights alone and a way to fill in time. The staff category came in a couple weeks before the con when i ran the contest as it stood and it was much shorter than expected.
