From an American point of view she got it exactly right. There's a nice detailed map of the US and this vauge 'canada' thing somewhere above us. Now all she needs to do is add a 'Europe is over there somewhere' with an arrow pointing vaugely to the right and she'll be about as detailed as you can expect an American to be.

Hey, here's two more for Canada (just noticed since those are the two I visit)

Anime North - http://www.animenorth.com/
Canadian National Anime Expo - http://www.hobbystar.com/comiccontoront ... e_Home.asp

(Both in Toronto, ON)

Good work there on the whole...

I said it was added as an after thought and that it would be a 'real' map later on. And I'm pretty sure you didn't mean anything by it, but still. It's not fair to catagorize people just cause their from a certain country. In fact I can point out the locations of more places in Europe than I can in the US. I think it's can most of the US states are shaped roughly the same. The only reason I know where anything away from the coastline is, is because I found some maps on Google. Lol

Oh! Canada?

I get a kick out of the map, for certain. ^^ Admittedly, American "knowledge" of our country is the stuff of great comedy sketches. Specifically the genius of Rick Mercer.
And anyone who just grinned at the thought gets a cookie.

Songbird, it'll be nice to see a Canadian aspect at some point, and it's great that you're doing this at all. ^^

Thank you.

Do they post the submission instructions for the contest on the site? I couldn't find them.

^^ I'm entertained to see only NAF listed for Ontario right now.
Please add Otohiko's cons though. AN and CN Anime are great cons for AMV's.. Well, AN is anyway. ^^
And I know there's a Montreal Expo, but I can't find the webpage.

Hey,

It's a brand new con, but Techwood Con hosted my Iron Chef battle with AMV_4000 last year. I'm not sure what's happening this year, although I'm trying to get some better staff and more AMV events to go on. So I'm guessing go ahead and put it on the map, even though the site is currently dead since it's so small. (Doesn't get updated till about 3 weeks before the actual con).

I'm hoping this map will help make this con more popular for AMVers.

If you don't put it on the map I totally understand.

Anyway, this takes place in Atlanta Georgia on Georgia Tech's campus.
