Which is it going to be?

I think I'll take the option of silent victory, as it's quite clear, from your inability to refute anything that I've said, that I have won. :)

I seriously don't mean anything by this, I just find this pic hilarious, and your post reminded me of it. Don't take it wrong though, I agree with every point you've made tryhil. :D

Hey, no problem. I realize that arguing on the Internet is ultimately pointless :)

While I'm not against this contest in any way, I would like to say that almost any real amv contest at major conventions are open to ANYBODY, noobs and "pros" alike.

Castor,

You know I respect you and I respect your intentions. I appreciate your opinion and I thank you for your comments.

To anyone else, it was never my intent to make people angry with this contest. What's the saying, "the road to hell is paved with good intentions?" That was the intention here. We wanted to create something good, not bitter or mean spirited.

This idea is not mine alone. It came from four other people because we all thought that it would be nice to have a tourny specifically designed for New AMV Creators. I agree with you that no other contest restricts one person from entering and perhaps, I myself made a mistake when I wrote down the definition of pro. So you know what we what we did. We revised the rules on www.jpproductoinsonline.cjb.net so that it was clearer what the entry requirements would be.

I did not mean to offend or hurt anyone's feelings when I said "no pro's need not apply." I may have offended some people and for that I am sorry. I am not a mean spirited person and I myself have been a tad rough to others earlier to day. To those people I apologize.

Tempers flare easy when there is a controversy but in my opinon, I would rather like to fix what is wrong then fight and argue and place blame. Please note that anyone who wants to enter this tourny it is designed specifically for new amv makers. Requirements have been changed so that there is a better understanding of who will be allowed into the contest.

Myself and the other people involved in this contest only wanted to do a good thing and nothing bad.

I apologize for any wrongful comments I may have said earlier and I have taken your suggestions to heart.

I'm not a person who is so rigid that I do not look at all sides of an issue. I discussed this issue with other people involved in the contest and we think the simpler the solutions the better the outcome.

Please check www.jpproductionsonline.cjb.net for details on the Great Noob Tourny.

Thanks

I'm getting sick of this crappy bull shit about the fuckin differences between n00b or (Amv Starter) for nicer terms & Professional. This is still nothing more than another tourny "Amv Starters" and if u win. U win a tourny theres is what u want. Does that even satisfy u. Look I'm just sick of the shit of the differences of the Professional and ur average n00b. Just shut up and keep opinions to urselfs. Just focus on winning. for jebus's sake

I'm not going to bother correcting you since I see Tobinhood already did it (thanks Tobin) but I'd like for anyone who still feels that winning at an anime con is the ticket to fame to please stop and re-read this comment...

I have a question
What if you are a video creator for under a year but you have more than five video?
This doesnot apply to me but when I first started out I made a lot of videos pretty fast. But I would have still considered myself as a noob.

I am not tring to put the contest down I am just saying that this could be a problem.

That wouldn't be too much of a problem. Let's say its under a year and there's like six or seven vids then it would be ok to enter.

Hey LighteningX how are youi :D Nice to see ya.

In talking with the other people, we can somewhat bend the rules a llttle to allow some people in with a little more then five vids. Now if its ten or fifteen, yeah thats a little excessive.

Basically this is a more of an amateur compeition.. The idea is to get new amv creators involved and see what they are made of. But a little more then five, yeah that would be ok. The guideline for having five vids in circulation was just a basic guideline that we all thought would be good. However, if it is a little more then five then its ok.

By the way, Godix, did you see this? I said I was sorry and I take back the comment. I made. I must have hit the wrong button on the wrong profile and I apologize for this comment.

J.Alana wrote:Okay I stand corrected.

I take back that remark about Godix. I think I might have clicked the wrong profile and if I did that, I'm sorry.

But listen, the point here is give an opportunity to new amv creators.

This is what we want to do.

And yes, I saw your vid. Pretty cool :D

Hi I lost in the WMM, Im new I only started a couple of months ago. I have more than 5 but most of them are re-makes of a previous video so really I only have 4 ORIGINAL AMV's. So hopefully Ill win. chances are I wont cuz mines are mostly characther profiles and drama.

Yes I saw it. Your comment amused me but it didn't insult or bother me so appologies weren't needed. The only reason I replied at all was that I've see arguements about contests make you a fandom god vs contests do nothing before and I thought your comment was a funny proof of one of those positions considering I had won something at Acen about a week before your comment.
