Ah shucks. I was a little worried about leaving my name in, but it was the punch line for one of my jokes, and I couldn't think of anything funnier :D

By the way, I am just curious, how was AR received by the audience on the big screen? Boos, Yays, lukewarm?

It was received very well. Yays, a few whistles, not too many people falling down and twitching uncontrolably. It showed in what I like to call the strong half of the drama category, and it carried itself well, considering all the competition. There were ALOT of drama videos, like, almost half the contest's 3.5 hours, and I understand there were more that didn't make it.

Ummm, actually it was the fourth or fifth video shown in the action catagory. I distinctly remember wondering about that because it was one of three videos that seemed way out of place in the action catagory. The crowd seemed to like it but I suspect reaction would have been better if the audience didn't have to switch mental gears from a matrix video both before and after it.

OMG, you're right - what is the matter with me? Gomen! The contest got all jumbled up in my walnut-sized brain, since there were a few videos that seemed to cross categories (the 18-hour train trip couldn't have helped). What's worse is the listing is up on this exact topic! x infinity.

The people around me did like it, though, I remember that.

Don't I?

wow that makes me happy. I wonder why it got chosen to show in the action category.... I don't think there was an option to choose on the otakuvideo site, unless I just missed it.

Wish I could've afforded to attend. Alas I am quite poor this summer, only had enough for otakon.

so far i have only seen 2 of the other vids in the contest, Rougeintellect and Songbird21, and they are both excellent vids, congratas on the wins. Time to go download some more :D

What half would you consider that to be, just out of curiosity?

Same here, actually. Who did the voting? If mine got honorable mention because the judges saw something in it, that's fine by me. But I'd also like to know how the crowd liked it. God damnit, I wish I could have been there.
