you can send two versions if you want, it's just that WMV is an overly compressed format, which in the pro world ends up as "lossy", as in it loses quality when it is compressed. Every compression codec, picture, music, video, etc.. is lossy to some degree, only raw data files, that are uncompressed, can be of the highest quality.
an average $.15 CD-R has 650-750 mbs of space now, which can hold at least one uncompressed five minute music video.
I also recommend you encode in a nice mpeg-2, which is standard DVD quality, you should be able to fit a few videos onto a CD-R with that.
