Oni-Con 2004 AMV Contest

Post by moonglaive » Wed Mar 03, 2004 11:51 am

Categories: Comedy, Drama, and for lack of a better word; Action

There will be separate awards given to the winning novice and expert entrants.
Questions about novice vs. expert: If you have won awards in 5+ contests/conventions OR one video has won multiple awards then we would consider you expert.

Rules and Guidelines:
All entries must be original content made by the entrant(s).

Videos will be judged on the following categories. Theme, Editing, Originality, and general spiffiness.

All videos should be anime based in their visual content. Basically, put anime content to music, no mainstream American content such as Disney or Dreamworks stuff. Video game fmvs and sequences are allowed, so long as they are anime based. (Final Fantasy, Legend of Dragoon, etc.) Please no live action videos.

All videos must be put on to a viewable format (no low grade/quality video). This includes:

MiniDV
8mm
VHS
S-VHS
RealMedia
VCD DivX
XviD
AVI
MOV (Quicktime)
Flash
Windows Media
MPEG-1
MPEG-2
SVCD
DVD-R

All entries must be received by September 15, 2004.
Limit no more than 3 videos per entrant, and no more than 2 videos in a specific category.
Judging will be done by Lee Wilson and other selected judges.
All judges rulings are final.
Awards: There will be physical awards as well as those listed, trophy or plaque of some sort.

Entries: Any questions or comments may be directed to Lee Wilson. Please contact me for information on where to send the entries. Lee's AIM is LMagus & icq # is 40310799

Quick questions.

Are AMV trailers allowed in your contest?

Is there a website that has more specific directions?

What's the address of the place I need to send my vid to?

Do we need to get entry numbers?

Thank You! :D

AMV Trailers? Can you give an example?

www.oni-con.com

E-mail the AMV director for the address (or if you want to do it over the net, that's possible as well.

Entry numbers? nope.
