Any contest that OtakuVideo is helping with can be uploaded. However, you have to upload an OtakuVideo-spec MPEG2...

Actually, that's incorrect. OtakuVideo accepts a wide range of formats, including formats such as Windows Media, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, DivX, XviD, HuffYUV, etc. However, all entries will be encoded into MPEG-2 for playback at the contests.

Good luck with your uploading ^_^

Well, it's always preferable that you send them a good-quality MPEG2, because then at least you know that you're sending them something high-spec... I mean, if someone sends a VCD-quality MPEG1, converting to MPEG2 won't make things much better...

Actually it'll make things worse since you're adding a level of compression. Then again, Patrick does have some mpeg-2 profiles and filters, but again...still a level of compression.
