VERY IMPORTANT!!!! Because this is blind judging, you MUST NOT reveal to anybody what your source is. If a judge knows what your source is, he will know which video is which, and the judging is then compromised. So once you know your source, you must keep it a secret to only yourself, your opponent, and AtomX.

well, judge pwolf is stupid and didn't know there was this thread, so if it wasn't for you telling him, he wouldn't have known who was fighting who anyway, stupid Pwolf. :P

So, I'm in the chat room right now, but wasn't there supposed to be a "non-sanctioned" battle broadcast there?

The non-sanctioned battle starts at 10PM =)

And we were gonna have webcams set up, but Devolution's Logitech cam is being a bitch, so no go.

We're not gonna do it in that chat room. And it's not starting for another 15 or so minutes.

Okay guys well, after a fairly eventful evening of Iron Cheffing, I will recap.

The match between VoicesOfRyan and Corran took place at 8pm EST. They did their editting for 2 hours, however, the final encoing and uploading process has seen a good share of issues, so final judging is still pending on this match.

As for the un-official practice battle between DOKool and Devolution, this took place at 10:25pm EST and ended at 12:25am EST. Since it was un-sanctioned, I was the sole judge and I also selected their song. The song was "Start The Commotion" by The Wiseguys. DOKool's anime was Excel Saga Vol. 1, and Devolution's anime was Read Or Die.

DOKool's video finished the entire song, at 1:41
Devolution's video finished at 0:34

And, despite DOKool's advantage in video length, I gave the win to Devolution, whose video was simply much better editted and thought out. So congrats to him :) I am definitely looking forward to his and Wonka's match!

I know that DOKool is planning on adding his to the org listings sometime, not sure about Devo. So at that time you all can see the videos for yourselves.

Anyhow, I'm off! Should have the judging for Ryan's and Corran's videos some time tomorrow.

I humbly accept my defeat =) It was definately a learning experience, but I had lots of fun doing it (even if I did get pwned in the process). But I shall be ready for Aisuzu on Sunday, and I hope that Devo can pull off the win against Wonka so we can have a rematch...

Okay. Results are in.

Match 7 - Voices of Ryan VS. Corran Productions

Song: Simon & Garfunkel - A Hazy Shade of Winter

Voices of Ryan's Anime: Dragonball Z: Movie 7
Corran's Anime: Kiki's Delivery Service

Winner: Corran Productions

Thanks to both of you for participating!! It was a great match and both videos were excellent.

It'll be up to each contestant whether or not they want to list their videos on the org. If they do they'll post download links in here.

Another thing I forgot to mention. BT and Tash scheduled their match.

Match 3: Burntoast VS Tash
Battle Time: Saturday, Jan. 10, 12:00pm EST

So it'll be a simultaneous battle with Match 5 :P Should be fun. Especially since it'll be right before I have to go to work :-D Right on right on.

I'm deciding not to have it hosted on the org until I finish the entire video which I hope to have done by next week. I only have one-fourth of it left to edit at the time being. When I do this none of what I have already edited will be changed for the sake of the contest. Until then feel free to indulge with a slightly lower quality copy of exactly what I turned in for judging.

Right click and select save as.

The original was 70mb at 100% Quality Xvid with a Dvix fourcc
This one is about 37mb using a two pass. There is some artifacting but not much.
Audio is at 192kB/s in both renders.

One thing I would like to mention. For being stuck with Dragonball Z Ryan did a good job on his video so if he uploads it to the org and links it here I suggest checking it out. He would of had Akira for this video but he had to reroll for a new anime after he found out that he only had the case for it at the time, hence AtomX's post yesterday about knowing that the dvd's are in your custody before planning to use them.
