Battle Royale is back

Postby -ssj2gohan- » Fri Jul 11, 2003 7:41 pm

Hey, I havent posted here in a long time but the old Battle Royale is finally finished and the next one is starting and you may submig your music videos now. Here is the submit page: http://www.ewfdliuaewflaw.com/submitmusicvideos.html It has all the rules and stuff, sorry only dbz vids may be entered and your vid must be under 50mb because any higher than that makes it a great inconvenience for those people who have 56k. I WILL host all videos also. I really want to get some good m.v. makers to enter in this one because I know the last one had many beginner vids.

Mmm, so that psycho vid did end up winning, good times. Anyways, why not make this one all anime instead of just dbz?
The best effects are the ones you don't notice.

What about multi-anime vids that *include* dbz - it would widen the selection. :?

An all anime amv battle royal would be pretty cool. I would be interested in entering an all anime contest.

The problem with this comment is the fact that most experienced makers dont deal with DBZ. Like I said in my previous post, if you want more experienced makers I would branch into other animes for the contest. DBZ is an almost dead medium (if not already dead). Oh Well if nothing else I am currently planning a 3rd MAS Productions contest, which will be similar to Machine's contest (and btw all anime are invited as well as all formats).

Some video makers still do DBZ vids, though, and it's good to have a contest that will inspire people to make good videos for this anime. The problem with general anime contests is they tend to ignore beginners - that's probably one of the reasons there were a lot of beginners who entered the contest last time. As far as I can tell the new members who post in the anime contest threads here tend to be ignored outright. A dbz contest may be the only place where they can submit, so I can imagine them being eager to do so.

^_^ If you want to discourage beginner vids, why don't you just make it a requirement that you have a certain number of well-done videos under your belt before you can submit? That should clear the problem up nicely. ^_^
