I've been asked a question, and in addition to responding via email, I thought it would be a good idea to answer it here as well. For the Animefest AMV contest, you can submit videos using video game cut scenes, American cartoons, stuff using vocaloids, manga music videos, and so forth. Some of our highest scoring videos in years past have been from sources like these, so we certainly welcome those submissions.

Another question came my way that I thought I should share here. We've been asked if a video has to be a music video, or are other fan video types accepted. Simply put, yes, they will be accepted. We've had comedy videos and videos made based off of the audio from a movie trailer both do very well in our contest in the past.

I'd like to thank everybody who entered this year, it was a tough competition! Also, I'd like to apologize for being slow on the finalist announcement - I'm acting as Vice Chairman of the convention, and while I really wanted to continue to coordinate the AMV contest as well, my other duties meant that I had this list for a couple of weeks now, but other things kept getting in the way of me posting it.
