Matsuricon 2016 AMV Contest - Winners now included

Hello everyone.

Matsuricon 2016 will be holding a new AMV contest, to be displayed and held at the Matsuricon 2016 anime convention on August 19 - 21st, 2016 in Columbus, OH, USA. We are now accepting entries for the contest. And if you don't want to enter into a contest but just show your video to a Mid-Western anime fandom, we are also accepting exhibition videos as well. Just wanted to bump this and let everyone know that we are a month away from the deadline for registration (video submission deadline is a month and a week away, but it is required to register the video first). We are accepting entries for all mentioned categories. So if you haven't entered and are interested, please feel free.

We have now closed registration for the Matsuricon 2016 AMV Contest. Thank you to all who have registered for the contest. Please note that a few weeks are needed before the contest set list is posted. This is so I can gather videos that have yet to be submitted and also for the selection committee to give their grades. Hello everyone. First, thank you for your patience as all of these videos are reviewed. Before the contest list is provided, I would like to give a run down as to our AMV schedule for Matsuricon.

There will be two one-hour exhibition showing in our video room, one on Friday and the other Saturday. Each showing will feature several of the non-contest videos submitted to the contest. These showing will have a different set list for each day. In addition to the exhbition showings, we are also running we're calling "The Post Matsuricon AMV Contest Extravaganza". Here we have selected other non-contest videos which this time will be shown in front of our judging panel as well as audience. Here our judging panel will provide their opinions on these selected videos and we will even get some opinions from the audience as well. And of course there is the contest itself. Our showing for this starts at 4 PM EST on Saturday August 20th. We will have a special encore presentation to coincide with our awards ceremony on the following Sunday August 21st starting at 11 AM EST.

So it is now August the 22nd which means that it is the day after Matsuricon, which means I should have posted the winners by now . I would like to ask our editors who were in the contest, to please note a couple of things. First the best of show (or the one that got the highest scores from our judges) instantly gets removed from the "Best of Category" list. So this means the best in category goes to the next highest score for that category. Also too, for those who were winners, I will reach out to you personally by the end of the week to discuss awards and prizes. If you came in runner-up, you do not recieve any awards. But you will get mentioned here for the awesome job you did.
