Day 2 of prejudging is finally over, and the finalists have been selected! I feel that the 202 submissions we received this year were the strongest batch of videos we've ever had! And that's saying something considering how strong last year's batch was. And so, I sincerely thank all of you for participating and making the prejudging so painfully hard. I think that I can speak for all the judges when I say that the contest prejudging is one of our most enjoyable weekends of the year, and we love it when we see all of you constantly setting the bar higher and higher. So without further adieu, I proudly present the AMVs that were selected to be finalists.

All Finalists will receive a free 4 day pass to MomoCon 2016, and entrants that attend MomoCon this year will have the opportunity to vote on the winner of the "Editors' Choice" Award that will be given out at the end of the AMV Contest. Also, all the non-finalist videos that were accepted into the contest were moved to the V-Mix Competition and became eligible to win awards that have already been determined by our judges.

Unfortunately, the structure and location of the V-Mix awards panel makes it a bit difficult to stream. But some of the V-Mix winners will be in the AMV Contest stream since we use them as intermissions as we collect the ballots in between each category. This allows us to count all the ballots in time to announce the winners at the very end.
