HOW TO ENTER

3) Please title all correspondence "AMV Basket Case 2015" In the body, please include the following information: Forum name (if applicable), real name(s), studio or group name (if applicable), your e-mail address, and a statement saying you have read and agree to the rules and conditions of the AMV Basket Case competition. Application templates are included below.
HOW IT WILL WORK
1) Contestants will be provided with three (3) themes or elements that must be present in their submitted work. These elements can be in the video or audio material used. For an example, an element of "ninjas" could have you using a song about ninjas, using footage of ninjas, or both. The themes and elements picked may represent things like technical elements (e.g. kinetic typography), genre (e.g. romance, fiddle music), items (e.g. corn), notable people or places (e.g. Albert Einstein, Eiffel Tower), or more.
2) Contestants will be judged based on how they creatively and prominently work with the three themes or elements. Entries will be docked points for missing elements, but not outright rejected. Contestants are free to provide a one paragraph summary of their work and the elements included within.
3) The contest will run for ONE week, starting at 12:00 AM CDT
4) Pre-judging will take place prior to the AnimeIowa 2015 convention (July 24-26, 2015), during which the top six (6) entries will be selected for participation in the video lineup(s) at con.
5) The pre-judged videos will also be entered into the Audience Choice Awards, as well as go into consideration for Best-in-Show. All winner announcements will be made during the AMV Awards Show, including AMV Basket Case Champion.
6) If the winner is not present at con to claim their prize, they will be contacted via e-mail to arrange mailing their prize after the con has concluded.
RULES AND CONDITIONS
1) The rules and conditions for the main AMV Contest also apply, with the noted change that this contest is open to non-attendees. The following conditions are further restrictions from the standard terms.
2) All videos must be in either AVI, MP4, or MPEG format. Minimum resolution is 640x480, and maximum file size is 250MB.
3) Videos (excluding credits) must be at least 120 seconds in length, and not exceed 500 seconds in length.
4) While attendance is not required to win the AMV Basket Case challenge, attendance may be required to win Best-in-Show or Audience Choice.
