I wonder how much I ruined the bell curve for this year... :-)

:uhoh: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Congrats to the finalists! :)

On another note, SRS Question: I wasn't going to send my video to AUSA if it made it to Otakon. Since the deadline is extended, I'm going to enter to AUSA, but I think I'm going to make some changes/improvements to it. Should I re-FTP it to the same place?

If you've made changes to your Otakon submission for showing at AUSA, re-upload your video, but don't submit another form unless you didn't send in a joint-submission form before.

As per the schedule for Otakon that (finally) got posted on Friday -- leading to the site crashing because so many people were going to it to get the schedule -- the Overflow timeslots are Friday from 9-11 AM and Saturday from 10-11 AM, in Video 1. 3 hours' worth of overflow time. If Vic does the usual, he will build the playlist alphabetically according to the editor's name, but if you submitted something that did not make finals (but did not get disqualified), you can request to have your video shown. Granted, it won't feel the same as having the video shown during the main contest, but at least you and a few of your friends will get to see it on the big screen.

Been meaning to ask: which copy of my video is in the contest? The good copy or the one with the farts?

This year's pre-contest "Notice" screen shown before the contest started:

NOTICE: The Otakon 2013 AMV Contest features plot spoilers, borderline gratuitous violence, girls in skimpy outfits, giant skinless dudes, that "Radioactive" song that's always on the radio, showtunes, sexual innuendo, Sponge Bob, more sexual innuendo, loud noises, and also they've got a tank.

It's that awesome. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

Two thumbs up to the Trailer category this year. Way to knock it out of the park guys!

The real winners this year were honestly just... the entire Trailer category. So... very... good.
