Found the address Imma showing up with bells on.Kieop wrote:It's a private function within the convention. There is no separate admission, but it doesn't appear in the official programme either. In essence, it's part of the convention. The party is held in convention space, so you will need to be a con member to attend the party. If you don't have a convention badge, you will probably be denied entry.
I believe there is parking at the TCC.
I don't recognize the address you've provided. The Doubletree is on Dixon.

I'm attending. May as well, never been to an AMV Contest and I think it would be fun
Anyone else going this year?

Re: Anime North 2013 Music Video Competition Rules
Some really fun entries this year. Going to try to track them down from memory now. Hopefully the results will be posted online soon in case I can't find them.
I especially liked the Redline Panama video and the creepy Madoka video (especially since it was Birthday Massacre).
Would have loved to have seen FallChild's video just to see what the audience reaction would have been.

Glad you could make it, always fun to meet new creators at the show. You did a great job on your video!pan_dbgt01 wrote:Glad to have made it to the Convention. Sorry to leave early

Re: Anime North 2013 Music Video Competition Rules
I've just posted the entire playlist in the results thread.
I've listed them: title [editor]. Some editor credits are missing, since AN doesn't yet ask for aliases and we don't wish to publish real names.
I think in the future, we will ask for preferred pseudonyms in addition to real names, because tracking them down is extra work for me.
PS FallChild's video really killed on Sunday. The audience loved it.

Momiji's Challenge 2014
Next year's Momiji's Challenge is a technical challenge and I am again soliciting suggestions.
Past unused suggestions include:
Technical:
B/W
Parody of an actual music video
Trailer
Anthology
Dance Video
Colour Theme
Match original artist video
Credit Sequence (Opening/Closing)

hmmm. I like the Parody or Match the Artists video. They sound like they can both fit in the same category though.

Yeah, they are basically the same thing, although a parody is a little different in tone from an homage (or straight match remake with anime). I think though that by using anime, it can't really help being a parody of the original.
