Re: PMX AMV Contest 2012 Only days left before the DEADLINE
Time is running short get your entries in before the deadline. There will NOT be another extension of the deadline.
@Kionon
Answers to your questions:
1) We don't have a preferred codec inside a .MOV container we'll work with what you give up. If we run into an issue we'll let you know so we try to come up with a solution acceptable for both of us.
2) We don't have an age limit set as of yet. The entry must fist go through an initial screening (some entries do not make it pass this point) and staff tally (for staff vote award only) the judging audience will vote for what they like, we believe if the entry is still strong enough to make the attempt then why not. That being said it's up to the strength of the entry and editing to make it's stand and get pass 2 rounds of judging to claim an award. I'm sure some people may not like or agree but as I mentioned we feel it's up to the quality of the entry not how new it is that should determine if it is eligible for a prize.
Hope this helps

If you can't bother to read the rules, why should you be expected to read a post the replies the answer you seek?xDreww wrote:Whats the number of videos can we enter?

I submitted an FTP request and I haven't gotten a reply yet, at mewlzilla@hotmail.com. The deadline is running really close, so please grant my FTP request soon so I can get my submission in.

Re: PMX AMV Contest 2012 the DEADLINE is only HOURS AWAY
After deep consideration, I have decided I cannot enter. I've said elsewhere that I'm opposed, on ethical grounds, to cash prizes. While the likelihood of me winning is slim, I think submission would send the wrong message.
Normally, of course, I wouldn't post at all in a thread for a contest I wasn't entering, but I've done so here for two reasons: 1) I've already shown interest by asking questions 2) I think it's valuable feedback. Next year, I'd much rather you used the funding to provide merchandise prizes or trophies.

why don't ask for your prize to be given at charities like [insert your favorite non-profit organisation here] in case you win ? Happy editor, Happy contest, Happy viewers.Kionon wrote:After deep consideration, I have decided I cannot enter. I've said elsewhere that I'm opposed, on ethical grounds, to cash prizes. But i approve the merch/trophy idea for next year.
