Edit: Went thru all entries on the website. Some weren't processing in the script, got everyone now so no need to resubmit.

12 entries so far that is eligible. We typically get around 80, lets see if we can get a 100+ entries this year.

Got it, Vivamist. At 18 eligible entries so far and the quality levels for most of the entries far surpass previous contests. It is going to be tough contest to select the winners. Still need a few more to hit the 25 entries mark.

We've hit 25 entries so this is on. We've gotten a lot of good questions from the website so here some Q&A to help clarify this contest.


Q) can i submit my amv in cinematic format? meaning 1920x800? or does it have to be 1920v1080?

A) You can submit 1920x800 but it will be previewed on a 4:3 screen which will affect score if it doesn't look right.


Q) Can i use a japanese song?

A) Absolutely.


Q) How many entries can one person submit per category?

A) Up to 4 entries total, 2 per category.


Q) I use a different song during my credits, is that acceptable?

A) There is no such restrictions.


Q) Would making an amv with avatar: the last airbender/ the lengend of korra be docked?

A) It will be accepted w/o penalty.


Q) Hey...could you review 'Beer For My Horses' and tell me if its suitable for the contest? Id hate to put alot of work into it only to have it not be even judged because of content of the song.

A) As long its "clean" by not having any curse words, especially "S" or "F" words then it'll pass and it also meets the guidelines of the posted rules then it will be okay. We aren't banning songs if it talks about alcohol.


Q) I used "Why is the Rum Gone?" off of the YouTube video, download the mp3. Is that ok?

A) There's no rule on where the audio source came from except that it must be "clean"


Q) What if the video has like a 1/4 of a second of japanese credits in the video, will it still get docked??

A) Likely, yes.


Q) Are a few cursing words in the audio alright? Or does it have to be something that everyone can watch?

A) Audio needs to be radio-edit. This will be shown to younger audience. Cursing, especially if it has any F' or S' words, will be heavily docked.
