Anime Mid Atlantic 12 AMV contest: FINALISTS!

To Richard (Deuce): With this revelation of certain entries violating the anti-trolling rule ("nonwinners of 3 lifetime"), will this change the lineup for the contest?

Of course it would.
I lost time to do the research I typically do.
Apparently there are two that were made known to me recently.
The problem is this site hasn't updated their index of contest results to reflect any cons for 2012.
That's what I use to see who has won what and how many times.
Otherwise, it's near impossible to track until the 'org updates its directory because some cons don't post their results here.
Anyway, I apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused.
And yes it's apparent there are those who assume all contest rule sets are the same because I still get entries with sownloaded anime, watermarks, credits, and incorrect encoding.
I've even had one would-be entrant commit plagiarism by turning in several instances of other people's YouTube videos.
Obvious grounds for disqualification.
Anyway, I'll speak to whomever I have to about getting a-m-v.org to be more diligent about updating their contest results directory so this kind of research can be done...

On google, "site:animemusicvideos.org videotitle" <===will show all forum threads with the video mentioned, way faster and more accurate way to find out if something has won.

Okay...did a bit of investigating via Google and, as far as the possible "offenders" of the anti-trolling rule, they're cleared for this contest.
One of the finalists won the third major award two weeks after the AMA submission deadline.
The others had only won two major awards so far.
Anything involving "Best Use of...," "Con Chair," "Coordinator," etc etc doesn't count as "major."
So everyone breathe.

It would have been a jerk move to kick videos out of the contest after announcing finalists. But ^that is not the case. Drop the rule if you're not up to doing the research necessary to enforcing it, but don't pretend they aren't breaking the rule because that seems like an easier solution.

I just thought you all would like to know that all the entries this year were received very well. Everyone seemed to enjoy them and groaned appropriately during the annoying sets. Everyone truly outdid themselves this year, hats off to you! It was the best year of videos I've seen in a good long while ^_^

There were a few surprises.

EDIT: scratch that.
Two of my team members found five stray ballots which changed the vote count.
We now have a TIE in Drama.
This means I don't know all the winners and there will be a run-off vote at the AMV Award Show!
