AMV Contest Guidelines

1. Videos will be separated into the following categories:

Be sure to inform us which category you would like your video entered in. Keep in mind that the judges will ultimately decide which
category your video best fits in.

upon by the judges, followed by an audience choice award to be decided
by the audience.

3. Videos may not have subtitles from fansubs or television or commercial logos unless they are intentional. Be sure to inform us in advance
if you intend to use subtitles or logos in your videos.

4. Most of your video content must contain anime. If more than half of your video consists of non anime footage, it may be disqualified.

I'm going to assume you mean 29.97 fps, which is quite different. Which still leaves open (NOT "begs"!) the question: is an MPEG-2 encoded at 23.976 fps progressive with the 3:2-pulldown-upon-playback flag set acceptable?

Also, there's nothing about audio. What samplerate do you prefer?
And are there any video codecs you do not support for the AVI container?

... And let's just hope that Connichi in Germany doesn't threaten legal action over a convention with a name like this. After all, Otakon got Otakucon to change its name to Kunicon...

That's fine.

192kpbs or lower is perfectly acceptable. Of course, these are being played over speakers within an auditorium, so higher quality isn't necessary.

As for the codecs, I'm pretty sure we'll support any of them from the CCCP set. That's the standard array.

I said sample rate, not bitrate -- do you prefer 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz, or does it not matter?
