Is 2 seconds of black at the beginning & end acceptable, or is 3 seconds necessary? (The "please" made me think I may have some leeway with that requirement.)

Aww, well 2 of the videos you sent were new to me. Looking forward to seeing ya at the con =). The contest is on Sat but I'll give the official time and location when I announce the finalist.

2 is fine, really the extra seconds are there so I have a bit of time to get my ass off the stage between the end of the title card and the start of the video. If I felt it needed more I can just add a blank clip between the title card and the video. So no stress.
