Streaming contest... great idea. Unfortunately, it will likely never happen. We are operating in a pretty much legal grey zone as it is. To stream it would be asking for legal repercussions.tehninjaness wrote:Any thoughts on live streaming the contest for those of that can't attend? And as long as everyone else is asking, I'd like to hear thoughts on my submissions too, especially the one that didn't make it in.
As for input... PM me after the contest. Not to be rude but I am so swamped with all my other Expo duties let alone my main paying gig that I don't have any free time to do such at this point. I am sorry. Ping me in pm after con and I will do my best.
Spontaneous responses aren't out of the question but in depth responses beyond "I liked it" or "Not my cuppa" take time I won't have till after con.

Streaming AMVs being a problem? Not any more than already screening them, really. Tried out at few big cons with AMV contest already, btw.

ASCAP has different contracts for public performance at a venue and streaming data over the internet. You typically wouldn't pay for both unless you planned to officially record stuff at the convention and later put it on your website.Nya-chan Production wrote:Streaming AMVs being a problem? Curious how the vid in my sig did...
I thought for sure it would be epic enough to get in... and be able to show off my fav anime and get people to watch it/possible buy the manga since it's not doing so well in the US atm...

your video is kicking ass in other competitions so i wouldn't take not getting into AX too personallyKazemon15 wrote:Curious how the vid in my sig did...

Also, during the award ceremony the coordinator for Fanime said that To The Future continuously kept his attention and the ending always gave him chills.

Dang, understandable though. But if someone else where to sneak a camera in to record the contest could you at least look the other way? <.<DigitalPanther wrote: Streaming contest... great idea. (On that note, could someone going sneak in a camera and record the contest? Lol)
And as someone who is severely outta the loop (Is there like a secret door to knock on and utter an esoteric phrase to get in the loop?), I would love for anyone/everyone to PM their entries that are both in the contest as well as the ones that didn't make it that aren't currently publicly available for viewing. I'd love to see some of these videos like the Nerv Glee Club one or A Glorious Dawn which I hear good things about but haven't been able to find available for viewing.
