Hey Everyone,
Ikasucon's annual AMV contest has begun taking submissions for the various categories. This is Ikasucon's 9th year and we would love to have a huge output for the AMV contest. For those of you who may not know, Ikasucon is held in Ft. Wayne Indiana and this year is taking place between July 8th - 10th. If you would like more info please visit http://www.ikasucon.org. Now as far as the AMV Contest is concerned here is a brief summary of the submission requirements:
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. Each individual may submit one entry per category.
2. Videos with more than one editor will be accepted on a case-
by-case basis.
3. Entries may not contain bumpers, title screens, MTV-style
credits, or any other form of identification. We will create our
own uniform bumpers and we will not remove them for you.
4. The running time for videos may not exceed 6 minutes, and
must be at least 25 seconds.
5. Videos must contain 100% anime or video game footage.
Questions on this subject may be directed to the contest
coordinator.
6. All videos must be submitted to the contest coordinator by
June 24, 2011.
7. Videos that have received an award at any other contest will
not be accepted.
8. By submitting your video(s) to this contest, you authorize
Ikasucon to screen and distribute your video under
the “Ikasucon AMV/Original Animation Contest” title.
9. Entries may be disqualified for the following reasons:
a. Objectionable content in video (does not adhere to PG-
13 film standards)
b. Bad audio or video quality
c. Subtitled footage that does not apply to the content of
the submission
d. Failure to adhere to submission rules
e. Lack of entry information
f.Other reasons the contest coordinator deems necessary
10. If you are unsure if your video would be disqualified due to
the above limitations, email the contest coordinator and we
may view the content in question to make a decision.
11. Exceptions to the rules above are made on a case-by-case
basis by the contest coordinator ONLY.
