Rules and Guidelines
1)This is not a competition. There are no prizes. The purpose of this exhibition is to give AMV editors old and new a chance to premiere brand new Anime Music Videos in a competition free environment. As an extra challenge, editors are encouraged to create an AMV that corresponds to the theme at Momocon that year. (This is completely optional though). This year the theme is espionage and super spies. And if anyone notices the connection between Momocon's 7th year in operation and James Bond, feel free to incorporate that into your video

2)Due date for the videos is Sunday, February 13 2011.
3)All videos submitted must meet the following requirements:
*Must be under 10 minutes in length
*Must be of reasonable video and audio quality
*Must be family friendly (a good rule of thumb is if it can't be shown on prime time television, it can't be shown at the convention)
*Must not contain water marks that are not inserted by the editor (no cartoon network or adult swim logos!)
4)All submissions must be accompanied with the following info in the message sent to me:
Editor's Name:
Video Title:
Anime Source(s): (If more than 7 anime sources are used, you can just type "various")
Audio Source and Artist:
*(This info is not required to be in the actual video)
5)At any time we reserve the right to not show a submitted AMV for any reason.
*AMVs will be shown in the Main Events auditorium from 11:30am -1pm on Sunday March 13, 2011.
UPDATE: The AMV Exhibition will be streamed LIVE via Ustream.tv here: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/amvs-momocon.
File Formats?
Momocon is able to accept AMVs in a wide variety of file types. Unlike most conventions, Momocon's video rooms have projectors connected to computers instead of DVD players. And because of this, we are able to play most video formats and even HD videos. So if you were looking for a convention to send your HD AMVs, Momocon is just the place. But even so, please do not upscale your videos. If your footage wasn't taken from a blu-ray or was already HD, upscaling it to 720 or 1080p will make it look like crap. The preferred file types are MP4, AVI and MPEG-2, but we also accept WMV, MKV and many more. We strongly discourage submitting QuickTime, Real Media and Flash Video though.
How to Submit?
YouSendit.com
If anyone is interested in participating, the preferred method of submitting your AMV is to send it to kireblueV2@gmail.com via YouSendit.com. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you within 2-3 days.
If you are unfamiliar with yousendit, here are detailed instructions on how to submit your AMV.
If your AMV is available for download on the org, you also have the option of sending me a link to the video information page. If you are submitting this way, you must send the link to me via a "private message" from your org account to my kireblue org account. A confirmation e-mail will be sent to you within 2-3 days.
Other?
If you would like to submit your AMV using a different method, please contact either me or Aaron Cuneo (The head of Momocon's AMV department) via the org, at kireblueV2@gmail.com, or at Arsienna@gmail.com.
*Also, feel free to visit Momocon's website http://momocon.moonfruit.com/ for more information.
