Is MPEG-2 really the only format allowed? I've been trying to convert my entries into MPEG-2; one comes out with really poor quality, the other one refuses to convert at all...but then again, I'm not really that versed in doing format conversions. If the coordinators could do the conversions, irregardless of the final quality, I'd be willing to take that risk.

You shouldn't convert at all, you should encode to mpeg-2 from your lossless renders ;x

As much as I would have liked to have done that, my lossless renders were deleted a couple months ago (3-5GB lossless renders take up space that could be better used for raw footage for editing current projects).

Then you'll just have to convert the encodes to lossless avi (avisynth) and then encode those to mpeg-2 with higher bitrate and pray for some luck ;x

Posting to keep tabs on this thread.
Only have one question.
Will the server be closed at midnight and that's it or is there a possibility for an extra day?
I had all my VOB files rendered to mpeg2 and the stupid program I was using placed a watermark in the middle of the screen. :x
Had to re-decrypt and convert with another program.
This one worked but I essentially had to start over with editing.
I'm fairly confident I'll have this done by tonight but I'll need all the time I can get to make sure the render and upload work properly.
It's after 6am now and I need a nap.
So yeah...when is the server officially closing?

I do apologize for the delay. We are getting FTP request out as quickly as we can. As with any contest we have received an overwhelming amount of request in the past couple of days. Tomorrow I will post a list of all FTP submissions we have received. As long as you have requested a FTP login by today your video will be admitted as long as we have the video in our hands no later then the 12th. Alot of logins have not been created because the request was missing info. We are emailing you if this pertains to you. Keep an eye out for the list of FTP submissions tomorrow.
