I thought category creation was the first phase in the voting. At any rate, we can make a category for videos that don't fit into other categories. I'm in favor of "The Charlie Kelly Wild Card Award".Quu wrote:that is a danger of pro... and one of the reasons that there is a third phase in the pro voting... category creation...Fall_Child42 wrote:One thing I noticed in this Pro Session is that there are several videos I think are highly deserving of awards but either don't fit in a category, or it doesn't have any competition for the category it would fit in.

Re: AWA 2011 Pro Video Discussion Thread
Just a brief note. Entries #6 and #20 have been moved from the Professional Awards to the Music Video Exposition Adult Competition. Both contained strong adult themes, and per our rules this year, they will compete and screen in a carded event on Saturday night, hosted by the crew of Chaotic Bad Raptor.
I want to thank the creators, and if there is any way they feel I can improve our rules regarding mature content, they may contact me directly at videoart@awa-con.com.
Good luck everyone,

Video #6, I couldn't care less about.
Video #20, that makes me sad, it was my choice for Best Comedy, it was the only one that made me laugh.
But I understand, it did have some pretty strong adult themes.

I didn't really laugh at any of the comedy the first time around due to being very "technical" in the way I was watching the videos. The second time around I laughed at a few of the videos because I wasn't picking them apart.Ileia wrote:Video #6, I couldn't care less about.![]()

I honestly don't see how it goes above a rated R standard. I've seen/heard things far worse than this that made it into R.

Your opinion doesn't count because you're stupid.Warlike Swans wrote: 30. Comedic miss. The working scene selections are few and far between. Song was funnier than the editing. Also are Japanese people white now? Tell casting directors. And who does the artist think dominates the rock industry?
