XD No they werent.

Freakshow was the first to be played, which is a great way to open it.

Attack of the Otaku was like...near the end.

Everyone literally cheered when as the vid ended and the title came on. Kinda like a "THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME" cheer. :P

The contest is going to be at 18 and over event next year to allow more...'mature' themes I guess. It was announced right before the contest started.

Hence why the "fun" needs to be dropped from the category name :P Hell, maybe a different title altogether? The only reason half of the category fit (such as Lawl & Order, Phoenix Wright, etc...) and half didn't (Make It Rock, Mashugatari) was due to the fact the name is confusing. If I see something labeled "Fun" I think "Oh, this must be where the fun videos that aren't comedy go." It's not the editors to blame, just a poor choice in naming the category.
Lol, this is exactly why I submitted Mashupgatari for the fun category. I wasn't sure where else it would go and thought to myself, 'well maybe fun implies 'other/upbeat' like other contests seem to do. So I just chose that category for it.

Does anyone know if A Prelude to Dreams was played at all during the preshow?

Someone else just said R (which is 17+)... Is it R (17+) or NC17(18+)? Honestly, R gets you ultra violence, swearing, full-frontal nudity, and soft-core porn. 18+ doesn't limit your audience much more (you're still checking IDs either way), and would probably be more of a draw.
