Hey.
Code said that the vids will be put together in a zip, or a bunch of 'em, and uploaded and linked like that, much like judges get them.
You're going to see 'em vids.

Re: Project Editor II : [Round 2] [Update: Page 130]
Yay, interesting stuff happens again!
And that's why I love P:E
Seriously going for some prizes, guys ^^
Honestly, for me P:E was a competition from the start. The MEP thing (compilations) was just a nice bonus to see the results in one place, so as long as we get the zips all is fine with me. And I'll release my round results no matter how bad they are anyway.
I am seriously considering helping Code with the stuff the next year (as I was ready to organize P:E this year if he hadn't stood up to it), but I'll see if it'll be needed.
And i do agree with godix - this year, there were even no lower limits. You could've just pasted ten seconds straight on timeline to random music and be done with it. It's kind of sad when some of you put up an excuse about personal life and then in a day or two release a vid or participate in another MEP (you know who you are). With this, I'd also like to thank to anyone and everyone who has kept up with us so far. Hope to see the start of r3 (and results of r2) as soon as possible.
That said, I shall get back to whatever nothing I was doing before I started writing this post.
Suckers.

simple thing is most of you are assholes. Whether you thought you were just kidding or not you just would NOT stop harassing code about one thing or the other and In other cases were completely just taking advantage of him "CtS". I am not surprised by his decision. If I was heading this mep I would have said "fuck you guys" in a much more drawn out and angry way long ago.

Um.. What the hell happened?
Whatever it is that caused it, I'm not for this change. That's like converting it from PvE to PvP. And I'm a PvE player unless it's iron chef.
Though in all seriousness, this sucks. It's always been more about the compilation than anything else for me, ever since I watched project editor 1/round 1 where you could see people trying to describe themselves in a short video, successfuly or not. It's really losing its charm now, and I wasn't going for the win in the first place as you might have noticed in round 2 anyway..
And "NS", "taking advantage of him"? What the shit?
/rage

Well also got to explain my own attitude as it must have been seen as pretty annoying from a certain perspective.
First of all I just recently got my new PC after moving, and I got working internet 2 days ago. I've been adapting in my new appartment, my new town, living alone, university, meeting people, all this real life faggotry - I had no time (like really, no time) to edit, and neither motivation. So as:
a) I did have the opportunity to delay,
b) Code seemed to still be working on previous compilations anyway (which meant I wasn't delaying something other than the judging, and waiting does add to the fun with anxiety),
c) I wanted to edit something interesting and fun to watch rather than throw something together to get to round 3 and
d) I didn't care about my score dropping as I'm not in it for the prize but for participating in the final compilations in an at least fun way, I decided to take that given opportunity and delay it until I could make something semi-decent. And yes I would make something, I was actually even writing down some ideas yesterday night/this morning to get motivated to work on it - and my goal when making it, as it'd have a majorly dropped score anyway, would be to entertain with it.
So well as this has grown sort of pointless for me now I guess I'll drop, though I'll reconsider things after taking a rest and let you know if my final decision changes tomorrow. After all this is now just a contest I can't win, ain't it?
what the shit you guys made me go all serious, it does feel uncomfortable. ):

Re: Project Editor II : [Round 2] [Update: Page 130]
This was about the competition from the very start whether you like it or not. The fact you have seen it as "PvE", which could get translated as "Everyone-against-Code" is your subjective PoV.Cast to Stone wrote:Um.. What the hell happened?

And, I know I will now offend Code and TOHH, but let me say this:
I think, that, even though the compilations must have taken a lot of time...
They sucked. Hard.
Especially their attempt at being funny and TOHH's swearing (I hate swearing, tbh...). So, yeah, I got them, but mostly to see the other's vids, and then I got those best ones anyways. I, as well as Vivaldi, come to see what the others have made and to see who kicked my ass to become a better editor. Which should be the main point of this.
To let the best and most widely orientated editor show his/her skills and make some awesome pieces of work.
Damn, who cares about compilations.

Re: Project Editor II : [Round 2] [Update: Page 130]
I'm sorry you feel that way. You are more the welcome to drop if you don't like the new format, and I would totally understand. But as mirkosp said, I will be packing the rounds videos into rar files and shipping them off to the competitors.Vivaldi wrote:Well, this is just about the biggest "fuck you" I've ever gotten from a coordinator. Though I'm not sure whether I'm more mad at that or the assholes that apperantly have such little in their lives they felt the need to spam code hate mail.
All I know is that the fact is, PE without the mep is just a glorified iron chef. I don't come every week to see who kicked my ass on a set of numerical brackets. I come to see what everybody made that kicked my ass. how they interpreted the theme, how they executed. Heck, even to activally measure myself against them. What's this based off, project runway? They don't give the challenge, say who won, and end the show. they show you who won. To not only change the setup, which could be understandable for pressure reasons. But to arbitrarily forgo a round that's already near completion? I've been led on, waiting over a month without saying a damn word under the understanding that it will get finished given its due time. And now you're telling me it's not just because you've decided you have better things to do?
You started this code. If you don't have the time\patience to deal with it, you get the help of someone who can, not flip off the 21 some odd people who have devoted a large portion of their time and expectations to you.
The first project editor died when the compilations stopped. I don't expect any better of this.
I'll also be waiting for your reply to your decision if you are dropping or not CTS.
And because people don't seem to understand, the compilations are dead and are not coming back in any way shape or form. Replacing them will be our very own Tim Gunn [The Origonal HEad Hunter] and completely uncensored commentary.
Also, if anybody wants to discuss anything in length, please use the pm box. I'd rather this thread not be one huge shitstorm.

a) There's a difference between "using given opportunity" and "abusing given opportunity", especially when you go about it in the way of "Hey, guys, I can delay you, so I will do it just so everyone is pissed off, harharhar!"Cast to Stone wrote:Well also got to explain my own attitude as it must have been seen as pretty annoying from a certain perspective.

b) Not true. Code said he'd give a week of free time after "everyone" has given in his/her piece. So in fact, you were delaying the whole project.
c) See below.
d) See below.
Actually, most of us would beokay with you having a fairly long delay, if you:
- didn't act as a prick about it.
- stated your (true) reasons for that.
If you just had no nets and moved and all, it's fine. From our PoV it just looked as you having great fun pissing us off. Which, as you surely understand, might piss some of us off :<
EDIT: Yeah, it might be gud to use PMs from now on :>

I just did, and I would anyway at some point, so no reason in continuing this - right?Nya-chan Production wrote:Actually, most of us would beokay with you having a fairly long delay, if you:
