AVS Video Editor

Hi !
I´m used to AVS Video Editor, which is really simple, but I´m happy with it.
If done several projects with it and everything seemed to go well, but now that I was about to create my last AMV, it simply gets stuck when watching the preview and introducing effects. I don´t know if it´s because of the previous projects that may take up the space or because the video takes I´m using have too much quality. Moreover I would prefer not to reinstall it because it took me a lot of time to get the takes divided into scenes and the like.
Please help me if you can !!!!
