Well, there isn't a best video editor... it's a matter of tastes. But certainly WMM is worse than most editors, that's for sure. My suggestion is to try free trial version of magix, vegas and premiere and see what's the one you like the most between those.

Yeah, WMM is the best editor and this website here sucks, so you should rather try a better website, I suggest youtube.

The best editor is a homo sapiens

WMM is not a bad place to start, but it has many really bad flaws.

If money is not an object, it's a fair toss-up between Premiere, Magix and Vegas depending on what you want to do.

If money IS an object, Magix > all, given what you get for its VERY reasonable cost, compared to the other two which are VERY expensive.

you can find some good deals sometimes for premiere or vegas, though in the end magix will more than likely be cheaper than both.

Yea, last I checked, if you take advantage of student discounts, you can get either Vegas or Premiere for $200-250 at the absolute minimum. Without the discount, you're looking at $900.

Magix runs $90 for everyone.

Oh yea, don't get the stripped-down versions of Magix, Premiere (Elements) or Vegas. They're not really worth it - well, the basic versions of Premiere and Vegas cost about the same as Magix, but are by far inferior to it in function.

Just that there is no need to get the newer version, you should easily be able to get Vegas 5 or 6 for 50-100 $. There is not much difference between the Different vegas versions, I've been using 6 all along and never even wished I had one of the never versions.
