then go to file->save

use those to mark the beginning and the end of the "clips" you want so you can save room

how can it be that it takes 30 minutes per episode and it is big as hell?

if you won't put in the effort, this is the wrong place for you.

and I can guarentee you won't use all of those episodes and movies. Also, to make up for the HUEG LIEK XBOX size of the files, get a second harddrive, not like they're expensive anymore.

If you like NLE programs crashing on you, try to use vfapi (already included in amvapp 3.0 beta, if you have amvapp 2.0, get it separately from here).

you're going to want to edit with lossless files in any program, so compressing in any form other than Lagarith or HuffYUV is a no-no.

don't waste your time encoding every episode and movie, as Jadd has said a few times now, make clips in vdubmod, you'll be turning your eps into clips at some point in the process...so why not do it now?

52 clips ranging from less than a second to a few minutes in length are taking up 2GB for me right now (encoded with lagarith.)

the whole point of using lossless footage is to retain as much quality as possible and to be able to reliably edit your footage in nearly any program you choose.
compressing in WMM will destroy your quality (if not the first time, you'll definitely notice it when you recompress for distribution)

The biggest thing, will be to basicly map out your amv before you start, then cut out the clips that you know you're going to use. you Don't have to make super precise clips, just enough to save space and time, then, after you start, and you find you need some more clips. Just go and cut that scene out. You'll never use or probably even look through all the footage you have if you converted 150 episodes plus movies.
