if you don't know, grab gspot from my sig

and did you move your files (or the folders containing them)?

media offline.. yeah that happens, most of the time is when people imported the clips, and then think about organizing them in specific folders, then it will read as it "media offline" because where the clips changed locations therefore it can't find it. Just "reconnect" the media by showing vegas where the source of footage is, or it can be your codec, but i don't think it really matters in vegas.

I use FCE and FCP and Motion.. so haha I'm full out MAC, but i used to use vegas for other video making, mostly for school.

Just re-encode your videos to a lossless codec (like lagarith or huffyuv) or use avisynth+vfapi. Reading here, here and here should help. Still, you're supposed to buy dvds and use those to edit...

replaced for even greater justice... i hate that banner.

please don't "fix" my posts unless there is actually something incorrect in it and no, my red letter banner doesn't count as something that is "incorrect"

It didn't happen when you downloaded the AMVapp, I'm pretty sure it prolly happened when you downloaded the clips, but hey. I might just be assuming things.

You should by DVDs, but, hey, that's just my opinion.

uh if you have the amvapp you shouldn't have to download anything... what you gotta do is convert your clips to another format:

JaddziaDax wrote:open the video file in virtualdub mod go to video->compression->Huffyuv or Lagarith

then go to file->save

use those to mark the beginning and the end of the "clips" you want so you can save room
