umm, this is kinda the wrong section but meh~

Photo shop is for pictures, only. who ever told you that was dead wrong, unless he ment, like, frame by frame.

for the dots effect, just make some dots in photoshop over a transparent background, save as png, and export to your editing program.

To make the dots move, he either made 6 or 7 versions of the dots in PS, starting at 1 and adding a dot for each version, so that it "moves" when put in sequence. Or he just made 1 version with all the dots, and masked them out in his editing program.

Can't you import Videos and export them again ?
Just you'd have thousands of layers then.....

well meh uses Gimp rather then photoshop, but I might take the time to learn moar about it.

uh, its more than likely possible he made 1 version of the dots and used a masking tool to make them appear and disappear...

and there's nothing wrong with thousands of layers if it gets the job done.

Also PNG < PSD if you are going to use photoshop with your editing program always try using the PSD files over any other kind of file. I don't know about other programs but I know Vegas and Premiere can both import PSD.

O.o I can guess why it'd be better in premire, but why would it be better in vegas? /dosen't use PS

because if you decide to modify the PSD file - like say you put a stroke around the image and you wanna change the color of the stroke, you can do that even if you close the program and open it again, cause PSD is a photoshop document file which is pretty much a project type file - you can do that without having to completely replace the file with a new one in Vegas or having to start from scratch again (because you neglected to save the psd)...

also the quality is better than png or gif, especially if you are working with transparents.
