Is there any way to save files from Virtualdub where they don't take up 1 GB? Even when I take out clips, VB uses at least a gig. And I've had this problem before, so I don't think there is anything wrong with the files I'm using. There must be something wrong with Editstudio. I did uninstall and reinstall it a few weeks ago...

lossless files (although large in filesize) will usually work better in editing programs than lossy ones... you can try different compressions to see which one will work, but i doubt that many of them will work as well as a lossless codec
