.. player piano with a scroll-roll, just the keys themselves, the hammers hitting the strings, someone playing the piano and showing the keys being played .. or something else?
Showing the keys being played. Basically vertical strips of the clip being seen as if they were piano keys (but not in the actual shape of a piano key).
I'd like to know how to have a clip in color and then have vertical strips of the clip become black and white when that "key" is struck. I'd also like to know how to have a black background and have vertical strips of the clip show up when the "key" is struck.
How would I use a rectangular mask in Ulead? I know there's a mask option on the overlay track, but I'm not quite sure how to use that to make the piano keys effect?
post-it: the term usually means having the entire screen masked to an empty video track then "adding" chunks of the video by overlaying a second, subtractive mask to the first one in the shape of long, piano-key shaped rectangles (synced to piano notes). Other people have done the same basic effect different ways.
