ok well i tried to make a little beta in sony vegas like 2 weeks ago after u finished making it in sony vegas i decided 2 render it rendering it was a pain because the program wouldnt start rendering it it would just freeze. then i exited out of all my programs and the rendering worked. After the vid was finished saving i decided to watch it the vid played perfectly but after i exited my media player my computer started acting really slow. It was so slow i had to restart it and everytime i opened the vid i would have to rebbot my computer. So i forgot about finishing the vid and now im in an amv battle and im using different clips for a beta i decided to start my beta and when i was almost done i saved the project file. I closed vegas thinking i should finish the rest later. An hour later i try to open project file in vegas every time i attempt to open the project file vegas just freezes its so weird o yeah for anyone who wants 2 know i encode my clips sp the problem must be sumthing else

Holy run-on sentences Batman!

It's hard to gather what your problem is.
I don't use vegas myself...but getting some more info will help someone who can help you.

what codec are you using to encode your clips?
if you don't know how to find that info, get Gspot from the pic in my sig.
Divx and xvid are bad (for editing)

what are your system specs?
(specifically your cpu (brand and model) amount of ram)

Assuming you use windows XP, when you press ctrl+alt+del how many processes does it say that you're running, and what is the commit charge?

i encode my clips using Virtual Dub. I am not realy sure about the system specs all i know is my computer is an Acer Aspire the amount of Ram i have is 512 mb (im gonna upgrade that soon) In Windows Task Manager it usually says im running 52 processes and the commit charge is 435848K/686740

I need to know the codec you used, not the program.

for the system specs, get cpu-z
and post what it says for processor name, core speed and memory type (memory tab)

just because I'm curious...keep windows task manager (what comes up when you press ctrl+alt+del) open and open vegas. If the numerator of the commit charge gets really close to the denominator...then your problem is that you don't have enough memory.

In that case there are a few things you can do (in addition to getting more ram)
but it would be easier to discuss that over MSN or AIM
